Wardrobe expectations

Welcome to Dance Studio Extreme!

At DSE, we always want to do our best, and part of that is looking our best! 

All athletes at DSE are expected to respect and adhere to all dress code expectations. 


We sell  almost everything you need to get started in dance.

Including; ballet, tap, jazz, & lyrical shoes. Tights, leotards, skirts, shorts, and some cover ups. 


Lockers & cubbies are available for storing personal belongings during class. 

 

Please bring a water bottle to class, don't forget a hair tie!

Dress Code

NO OUTSIDE SHOES on dance floor. For any/all classes that require sneakers, please dedicate a pair of shoes to dance and do not wear them outside at all.

Thurs 5:30-6:20

Groove Group

  • Comfortable work out attire. 
  • Sneakers, Pilates socks, or barefoot. 
  • Please be respectful of our dance floor and do not wear shoes into class that are worn outside. 

WED. 6:30-7:20 5+yrs TUES. 7:15-8:30 10+yrs

Ballet

  • Hair in bun
  • Leotard & tights. Colors & style are dancers' choice.
  • Ballet shoes.  
  • Warm up/modesty layers are encouraged but should be form fitting for physical observation.

THURS. 6:30-7:15 (6+yrs)

Jazz

  • Hair pulled up & back out of dancers' faces.
  • Form fitting, comfortable workout clothes. 
  • Jazz shoes, lyrical turners/foot thongs, or barefoot. 

WED. 7:30-8:30 (6+yrs)

Lyrical

  • Hair pulled up & back out of dancers' faces.
  • Form fitting, comfortable workout clothes.
  • Lyrical shoes: "turners", foot thongs, or barefoot. 

TUES. 5:30-6:15

Tots

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Tights & leotard, with skirts & shorts optional. Clothing selections should be reasonable to reduce distractions.
  • Ballet shoes & tap shoes.

FRI. 5:30-6:15(5+yrs) FRI. 6:15-7:00 (10+yrs)

Cheer/ Tumbling

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Comfortable work out attire. 
  • Sneakers, Pilates socks, or barefoot. Please be respectful of our dance floor and do not wear shoes into class that are worn outside.

THURS. 8:00-8:30 (5+yrs)

Tap

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Comfortable work out attire. 
  •  Tap shoes 

TUES. 6:30-7:15 (10+yrs)

Leaps & Turns

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Form fitting work out clothes
  • Lyrical, jazz, or ballet shoes.

WED. 5:30-6:20 (5+yrs) THURS. 7:15-8:00 (10+yrs)

Hip Hop

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Loose/baggy clothes, or workout clothes that allow for freedom of movement. Style and swag is strongly encouraged.
  • Sneakers/tennis shoes dedicated to dance class that do NOT get worn outside. Please change shoes upon arrival inside the building.  

FRI. 7:00-8:00

Free Faith Fridays

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Loose/baggy clothes, or workout clothes that allow for freedom of movement. Style and swag is strongly encouraged.
  • Sneakers/tennis shoes dedicated to dance class that do NOT get worn outside. Please change shoes upon arrival inside the building.

Private Lessons

  • Hair should be pulled up and back out of dancers' faces. 
  • Clothes should match the genre of dance & be form fitting for physical observation. 
  • Dance shoes should be worn at all times based upon the style of dance.

Partner Lessons

  • Comfort & confidence is key!
  • Please be prepared to dedicate a pair of shoes to the studio that should be changed upon arrival to lessons.
